Will Day

Will Day

“I rate Will Day as one of Australia’s most energetic live shows in today’s music industry. He is going to really stamp his mark on this industry with his honest, edgy and just down-home country”

–Country artist Col Finley

SURVIVING a decade as a full-time country artist, providing for his family by playing more than 250 gigs each year, is an achievement that Will Day is proud of.

Australia’s eastern seaboard has hosted the Brisbane-based country artist for much of the last few years, after his musical roots were sewn in the small town of Goondiwindi.

His early life inspired offerings such as Seasons, the award-winning first single off his debut EP released in late 2016, which enjoyed time in the top 10 of the iTunes chart.

This modern-day singer songwriter has had an exciting start to his career and achieved a swag of impressive milestones. His talent and hard work have led him to tour extensively with country music artist Col Finley.

In 2017 Will toured New Zealand for 10 days, headlined the Goondiwindi B’n’S with record crowds and was a finalist in three categories for the current Independent Country Music Association awards for which he won the fan voted ‘Most Popular EP’. 2017 also saw Will win the Male Rising Star awards at the Southern Stars Australian Independent Country Music awards in Mildura, Victoria.

In October last year, Will released his single ‘This Country Life’ which reached the top ten on Australian Country Radio, was recorded and produced by Benji Pocock at Vibetone Studios and co-written with Troy Kemp, Damien Baguley and Col Finley.

“Audiences love Will… and with his all-round performing skills, it isn’t surprising. His original songs are thoughtful, well-crafted and polished -Will Day is the whole package” –award-winning singer-songwriter Allan Caswell.

Will has been described by peers in the country music industry as one of the hardest working artists that they know. 2018 alone has already seen him travel some40,000 kms. He has toured regional NSW, ACT and had a very successful 12 date, 3-week tour of North and Central QLD.

Will Day will be kicking off a massive 2019 with a bang, securing 9 straight shows at The Tamworth Country Music Festival where he will entertain festival crowds at ‘The Late Nights’ at Wests’ Diggers. Will’s growing profile has also earnt him an invite to duet with Adam Harvey at the 2019 ‘Country Turns Pink’ Concert. Recently back in the studio Will has been recording his next single ‘In The Real World’ which was co-written with Matt Scullion. Will is excited to launch the single and what will be a massive year for him at The Tamworth Country Music Festival.
