About the Art & Photography Exhibition

The Burnett Heads Art & Photography Exhibition has developed a reputation for being well organised and easy for artists and photographers to display their work – and for the audience to enjoy it. The exhibition has been growing each year and in 2021, thanks once again to the help of Gladstone Ports Corporation, we expect it will continue to grow offering the crowd plenty of wonderful works to admire.

Terms & Conditions / Information For Entrants
Conditions of Entry

* Please consult Coordinator in advance if entry is larger than 100cm x 100cm Including frame
* Section 3 maximum size is 30cm x 40cm including frame, no minimum size.
* All entries must have Section number, artists name, address, phone number,
and title of work.
* Only “Ready to Hang” entries will be accepted.
* An artwork may only be entered in one section.
* Entry Forms must be received by 5pm on 14 October 2021, with $10 entry fee
($5 in Sections 6A, 6B, 7B & 8B) per artwork. Section 4 is FREE.
* No late entries will be accepted.
* Artwork to be delivered to Burnett Heads Community Hall between
2pm till 6pm on Friday 22, 12pm to 3pm Saturday 23 and Sunday 24
or 9am to 6pm on Monday 25 October 2021.
* Artwork to be collected between 8.15pm and 9pm on Saturday 30 October 2021 or
9am and 12pm Sunday 31 October 2021.
* Entries not collected will become the property of The Lighthouse Festival and
may be sold after one month.
*Entries are accepted on an “all care but no responsibility” basis. Artists should
insure their own artworks.
* All entries are to be original works, produced solely by the entrant and must
not have won a previous award.
* Judges may choose not to award a prize in any section where insufficient
numbers or quality of entries are received.
* The Committee reserves the right to reject any entry without explanation.
* Entrants will allow their work to be photographed by media and for Festival
records.
* Judges decision is final, no correspondence will be entered into.

Entry Fees

Entry Fee is $10.00 per Art Work, except for sections 6A, 6B, 7B & 8B which are $5.00
Section 4 FREE entry.

Artist Meet and Greet Sale

This is the opportunity for artists to be present to discuss their work and offer it for sale without having to pay any commission to the festival.

If you are looking for a unique piece of art come along and have a chat to some of our artists.

BONUS OFFER TO ARTISTS
On 29 October 2021 we are once again giving exhibitors the opportunity to offer their artwork for sale on the day, and pay no commission on the sale.
We hope that this method of ‘Commission Free Sale’ will assist artists financially and foster the interest of the viewing public in the work of particular artists. It is an opportunity for all artists to establish a market for their future works.

CONDITIONS OF ‘COMMISSION FREE SALE’
‘Meet and greet the artists Sale’ 4 pm – 6 pm, 29 October 2021 at Burnett Heads Community Hall. Any artist wishing to offer their artwork for sale must clearly mark their work with price on entry form so it can be added to the tag.
All artists wishing to sell their work need to conduct their own sale directly with interested buyers.

NOTE: All artworks are to remain hung in the exhibition hall until 8 pm.
Delivery of all artworks sold will be the responsibility of the Artist.

Judging and Awards

Judging will be a done by an expert panel prior to the exhibition. Winners will be announced in the hall on the day of the festival.
